Just off the lively stretch near Bengaluru’s Manyata Tech Park, Indian Craft Brewery (ICB) has become a loved destination for people looking to unwind, connect, and enjoy great moments. Spread across two acres, it brings together craft beer, gourmet food, live performances, and warm social spaces—everything designed to make people feel at home.
For the team at ICB, creating the right atmosphere mattered as much as brewing the perfect beer. They knew that sound plays a big role in shaping how people experience a space. Gopi, the mind behind popular venues like Iron Hill and Mr. Philly’s, had a clear vision: “It’s not just about what you serve—it’s about how people feel when they’re here. And sound is a huge part of that.”
To bring this vision to life, he partnered with Ansata, the exclusive distributor of d&b audiotechnik in India, along with system integrator Waveguide, to do a system design that matches the personality of the venue.
Understanding the Goal
ICB is built with multiple moods in mind, energetic outdoors, warm and lively indoors, and relaxed on the upper levels. The audio system needed to adapt to each of these spaces without drawing attention to itself. The goal was simple: let people enjoy the experience effortlessly, whether they are sitting down for a quiet dinner or cheering for a live band outside.
“We wanted the sound to feel natural in every corner,” the Ansata team shared. “Power outside, warmth inside, and smooth transitions throughout the venue.”
The Solution
The audio design focused on capturing the essence of each zone. With careful tuning and thoughtful placement, Ansata and Waveguide created a setup that feels intuitive and blends seamlessly into ICB’s environment.
Outdoor Area: Built for Live Energy and Open Air
The outdoor zone hosts gigs, DJ nights, and buzzing crowds. To support high-energy performances while keeping clarity intact, the team deployed a robust mix of d&b systems, including:

- B22 subwoofers

- MAX2 Monitors
- 40D amplifiers

Two d&b 10S-D loudspeakers were also installed behind the stage to provide additional reinforcement and coverage for live performances

Inside, the atmosphere shifts. Guests come here to talk, relax, and enjoy their meal. The sound needed to support that mood. To achieve a balanced and evenly spread sound field indoors, the team installed:

The balcony levels maintain a softer vibe, where guests enjoy the breezy, open atmosphere. The sound here stays light and easygoing, maintaining the character of the space while connecting it smoothly to the energy of the rest of the venue.
