d&b Soundscape enables flexible, immersive audio for a modern environment

Setting the Scene

At Deloitte’s Hyderabad office, flexibility is built into the way people collaborate. Two adjoining co-working spaces are used daily for meetings, presentations, and town halls, but they are also brought together to form a larger venue for internal events and performances.

For Deloitte, sound needed to support this adaptability. Whether used independently or as a single combined room, the audio experience had to remain consistent, engaging, and easy to manage, all within the constraints of a modern corporate interior. Ansata, working alongside project partners, supported the design of an audio solution that could meet these demands without compromise.

The Challenge

The project presented several unique requirements:

Two spaces that needed to function independently or as a single unified venue
High-quality audio for town halls, presentations, and live performances
A low ceiling height of just 9 feet, limiting conventional loudspeaker deployment
Seamless audio connectivity between rooms, with no perceptible change in experience when combined

The system had to deliver clarity for speech, immersion for music, and flexibility for different room configurations.

The Solution

To address these challenges, the solution centered around d&b Soundscape, an object-based audio platform designed to create immersive sound experiences even in acoustically constrained spaces.

Despite the 9-foot ceiling height, d&b Soundscape enabled precise spatial distribution of sound, ensuring even coverage and a sense of depth across both rooms. The system allows audio objects such as voices, music, or effects to be placed and moved naturally within the space, creating a concert-like experience for performances while maintaining exceptional intelligibility for spoken content.

Both rooms are connected via Dante, allowing them to operate either as independent spaces or as a single, combined venue at the push of a button. This seamless integration ensures consistent sound quality regardless of configuration, making transitions between meeting modes and event modes effortless.

The installation was carried out by Godrej, with Online Instruments overseeing system management, ensuring reliable operation and long-term performance.

The Result

Today, Deloitte’s Hyderabad office offer a highly flexible and immersive audio environment. Town halls feel engaging and intelligible, presentations are clear and focused, and performances benefit from a spatial, enveloping sound experience, all within a clean, modern workspace.

The project demonstrates how d&b Soundscape can redefine what’s possible in corporate environments, turning everyday workspaces into dynamic venues for collaboration, communication, and culture.
