4055 Kick-Drum Microphone

The DPA 4055 brings the company’s renowned true-to-life sound to your kick drum. This pre-polarized condenser microphone boasts a flat frequency response, enabling you to easily bend its sound to your will. The 4055 features an open cardioid polar pattern, which was determined by DPA to deliver the best sound. A full 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response captures every nuance of your drum, while a 164dB max SPL accommodates a thumping kick without breaking a sweat. What’s more, this kick drum mic is near impervious to feedback — a must for live sound applications. The 4055 features an asymmetric design and an integrated XLR connector for easy placement inside or outside a drum, and its rugged housing and heavy-duty grille tackles the rigors of stage and studio with aplomb. The DPA 4055 comes with a state-of-the-art mic holder and an effective shockmount system.
