Systems Reality Training (Bangalore)

Event Details:
Location: Bangalore
Time: 10 AM to 6 PM

Workshop Overview:

Day 1:
A brush-up on the basics of audio, electroacoustic, and ArrayCalc.
  • Introduction to d&b Audiotechnik – An introduction to the d&b system reality and the d&b workflow
  • Electroacoustics seminar – This seminar provides a comprehensive guide to the principles of Electroacoustics. What is Sound?; How does sound propagate?; How do sound waves combine?
  • SL-Series of loudspeakers – An introduction to the SL-Series of loudspeakers from d&b audiotechnik
  • ArrayCalc – This workshop is completely dedicated to the d&b workflow, with a focus on the software program ArrayCalc, from entering all the relevant data into the ArrayCalc planning software, via steps for simulating line arrays and point sources. Questions like why and when I need to use a line array will be answered as well as the principles of designing loudspeaker setups utilizing the d&b ArrayCalc software.

Day 2:
Finishing up with the ArrayCalc design and using the built design file, we will then proceed to learn how to control the system’s parameters using the R1 software. This will be followed by a listening session and finally Q&A.
  • Array Calc Contd.
  • R1 Workshop  – This workshop is a guide to the d&b Remote Network. Besides all the functions inside a d&b amplifier to enable integration into all kinds of reinforcement systems, participants will learn what to consider to make up a useful remote network. Discussions on all aspects of a network design, starting at the hardware and ending at the user interface.
