Setting the Scene
Located in Kothanur, Bangalore, City Harvest AG serves as a vibrant place of worship and community gathering. The space hosts weekly sermons, worship music, and large congregational events which are broadcasted live, where speech clarity and musical presence are equally important.
In modern worship environments, sound plays a central role in engagement. Every word must be intelligible, every musical moment must be experienced, and the system must remain consistent across the hall. City Harvest AG sought an audio solution that could support both spoken ministry and dynamic worship while remaining reliable and easy to operate.
Ansata was engaged to design a system that would deliver clarity, impact, and uniform coverage throughout the space.
The Challenge
The requirements for the venue were clear:
- High speech intelligibility for sermons and spoken words
- Musical reinforcement with controlled low-frequency
- Even coverage across the seating area without hotspots or drop-offs
- A system suitable for both worship services and special gatherings
- Clean signal flow and dependable operation for regular use
The solution needed to provide concert-like clarity while maintaining the warmth and restraint appropriate for a worship setting.
The Solution
Ansata designed a d&b audiotechnik-based system centred around the T-Series, chosen for its compact line array performance and precise directivity control.
The main system comprises:
- 4 × T10 line array loudspeakers per side, delivering wide, intelligible coverage across the congregation
- A T10P centre fill, ensuring consistent vocal presence and tonal balance for the central seating zones
Low-frequency support is provided by:
- 4 × Vi-GSUB subwoofers, adding depth and warmth to worship music while remaining tight and controlled
For time-aligned reinforcement in the rear balcony seating area:
- 2 × 8S loudspeakers are deployed as delay fills, maintaining clarity and tonal consistency throughout the hall
Amplification and processing are handled by:
- d&b 40D and 5D amplifiers, providing reliable power delivery and precise DSP control
The venue’s mixing and signal workflow is supported by:
- Waves eMotion LV1 Classic, offering flexibility and modern live mixing capability
- DPA 4488 headset microphones, ensuring clear, transparent and natural speech capture for pastors and speakers
This combination delivers a coherent system that supports both speech-driven services and full worship dynamics with confidence.
The Result
City Harvest AG now benefits from a sound system that delivers clear sermons, balanced worship music, and consistent coverage across every seat. Speech feels articulate and direct, music carries warmth and energy without excess, and the system remains stable and intuitive for regular operation.
