The DS22 Audio Network Bridge is an interface providing 16 inputs of AES3 digital audio channels to the Milan network, 4 of which can be switched to analogue. Allowing the easy connection of multiple mixing consoles, this 1 RU device is ideal for festival settings and any mobile or installed d&b systems using Milan-ready amplifiers. Developed specifically for the input side and intended to sit near the Front of House (FOH) console, the DS22 enables streamlined network management at an affordable price.
The DS22 has a fully Milan-AVB enabled integrated 5-port switch, offering 3 primary and 2 secondary network sockets. Users can choose from the following input options: 16x AES3, 14x AES3 and 2x analogue, or 12x AES3 and 4x analogue. Each unit provides 2 Milan talker streams, with 8 channels per stream. It is conveniently similar to use as the DS20 output device for d&b systems relying on legacy non-Milan amplifiers. The DS22 features a power supply suitable for mains voltages 100 V – 240 V, 50 – 60 Hz, with overvoltage protection of up to 400 V.
This device expands the d&b Workflow to the input side, providing a familiar and secure operating environment with the optional direct connection of analogue audio signals.
