Transforming Ambazari Garden through Sound
Ansata and Studio One created a sonic experience at Nagpur
Setting the Scene
Nestled beside the calm waters of Ambazari Lake, the Ambazari Garden in Nagpur has long been a place of reflection and natural beauty. Now, it resonates with a new kind of energy, the inspiring voice and journey of Swami Vivekananda, brought to life through a spectacular sound and light show.
Studio One Productions Pvt. Ltd. took up this challenging and visionary project, transforming Ambazari Garden into a large-scale outdoor storytelling space. To bring their creative vision to life, they turned to Ansata, known for designing and delivering premium professional audio solutions across India.
The result is a fusion of sound, light, and emotion that has transformed this garden into a destination where storytelling meets technology.
Establishing Objectives
The goal of the project was to narrate the life and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda through a multimedia experience that audiences could not just watch, but feel.
Located in a natural valley within the garden, the amphitheatre presented both an opportunity and a challenge. While the terrain created a naturally intimate viewing space, its open-air setting introduced acoustical difficulties such as fluctuating humidity levels.
The objective for Ansata was to design a high-fidelity outdoor surround system that could maintain intelligibility, dynamic range, and tonal balance, regardless of seating position or weather conditions. The sound had to remain transparent, powerful, and emotionally engaging throughout the performance.

The Solution
To match the creative ambition of the project, Ansata designed and implemented a sound system using d&b audiotechnik’s Weather Resistant (WR) loudspeakers and amplifiers.
The main Yi8 Line Arrays (WR) were configured in an LCR format to deliver focused imaging and even coverage across the audience area. Surround effects and ambient textures were handled by 8S loudspeakers (WR) strategically positioned around the amphitheatre, creating an enveloping 360° listening field. For low-frequency reinforcement, B22 Subwoofers (WR) added impact, ensuring that the music and sound effects carried cinematic power even in the open environment.
Ansata’s design team used d&b ArrayCalc to model the entire site, taking into account terrain contours, distance, and environmental reflections. This careful planning ensured precise time alignment, phase coherence, and tonal consistency from every seat.
“We wanted every listener to feel like they were part of the story,” said the Ansata team. “It wasn’t about volume, it was about emotion. Every note and word needed to sound alive.”
The installation was complemented by 40D and 5D amplifiers for clean and reliable power delivery, along with DS10 network bridges for seamless Dante-based signal distribution. Together, these systems worked flawlessly to synchronize with the visual projection, creating a seamless sensory experience.

Ansata’s audio solution ensured that every sonic detail from narration to musical score, reached the audience with crystal clarity. The Weather Resistant components from d&b audiotechnik guaranteed long-term durability and consistent performance in outdoor conditions.

Conclusion
The Sound and Light Show at Ambazari Garden was inaugurated on 6th October 2024 by Hon’ble Shri Nitin Gadkari, and received an overwhelmingly positive response from the public. Visitors described it as a “spellbinding experience”, one where sound and story intertwined perfectly under the open sky.
