d&b Line array workshop
Event Details:
Location: Mumbai
Venue: TBA
Time: 9.30 AM to 6 PM
Workshop Overview
Requirements
Attendees should be experienced with setting up sound systems and want to develop their knowledge of d&b systems. Please bring a laptop with Ethernet port or adapter. The laptop must meet the system requirements to run the d&b ArrayCalc and d&b R1 software. Please check all system requirements on www.dbaudio.com
Check all system requirements at:
ArrayCalc: https://www.dbaudio.com/global/en/products/software/arraycalc/#tab-technicaldata
R1: https://www.dbaudio.com/global/en/products/software/r1/#tab-technicaldata
*Login to My d&b to download the softwares.
The Goal
This is an introduction to the d&b workflow and loudspeaker systems that can be deployed as arrays and their use in the working environment. You will be taught how to efficiently apply the systems for optimum results while taking into account safety aspects.
Content
-Systems explained in this workshop: [V-Series, Y-Series, T-Series, A-Series] -Line array theory. This is a theoretical session about the principles of line arrays and describes in a non-mathematical way their behaviour. This unique style of explaining physics makes it easy to adapt the theory to the real world. -Overview of standard d&b Line array features (T/Y/V-Series), Augmented array features (A-Series) and Distributed sub array features, including rigging demonstrations, practical & listening sessions. -Use of d&b ArrayCalc planning software with a focus on Line array, Augmented array and Distributed sub array specifics. -Use of d&b R1 Remote control software, to create an R1 user interface for use with the selected system. -Demonstration and use of the full d&b Workflow for arrays, including Array Verification, ArraySight and Filter sets
ArrayProcessing
d&b ArrayProcessing. In this session, the participants are familiarized with the optional ArrayProcessing feature. Background information on sophisticated filter algorithms is provided and explained using practical examples. Participants are introduced to simulation and calculation processes in ArrayCalc as well as to the transfer of the resulting ArrayProcessing settings using the R1 Remote control software. All workflow steps are presented, from a simulation in ArrayCalc to transfer of the relevant ArrayProcessing data to the amplifiers using the R1 Remote control software. The workshop is supplemented by a listening session featuring different ArrayProcessing application scenarios.
Method
The workshop is conveyed in a format that encourages the participants to play an active role, for example exchanging experiences or using practical examples.
Duration
Three days.
Documentation
Every participant is provided with a USB stick/download link containing all relevant software and documentation.
Certification
Following completion of the workshop, a certificate of attendance is available on request.
